The shortlist

We’re about to post the shortlisted films, but first we wanted to thank everyone again for all of their hard work and the really great films we received.

Without further ado, here are the five shortlisted films:

  • ‘Like War’ directed by Gal Shkedi
  • ‘ICU’ directed by Loup Thévenin
  • ‘Pascal & Quentin’ directed by Victor Haegelin
  • ‘Symptomatic Networks’ directed by Claire Sichez and Cécile Milazzo
  • ‘Blue Me Up’ directed by Estelle Charrié

Thanks to everyone for submitting

It’s February 1st, and you all know what that means. Submissions for the first round of Partizan Forecast have now closed. A huge thanks to everyone for sending in their films, the response and quality of work has been terrific!

Now we’ll be working hard to put together a shortlist from all those great submissions, so look out for that to get posted here on Tuesday, February 7th.

Thanks again to everyone involved, and keep on making great films!

Social Networks: Obsession & Voyeurism

The very first brief from Partizan Forecast is all about animation, and the theme is all about social networks. Well, the idea of obsession and voyeurism, to be more precise. What exactly do we mean by obsession and voyeurism? Well, that’s really up to you. We’re looking for the most interesting and creative responses to this idea.

You can be as literal or abstract as you want. Any kind of animation technique is fine. 2D or 3D, lo-fi or super polished. Whatever you want to do. It just has to be great.

Introducing Partizan Forecast

This month, we are really excited to launch Partizan Forecast, an ongoing online exhibition of the world’s most creative film talent.

Each season we pick a theme, and all of you directors out there who want to participate can submit a short film about that theme. It’s all pretty simple, really, and you can read all about it on the about page. Although we at Partizan are running this ongoing showcase, it’s open to anyone out there.

Sound interesting? Well, get started on the first brief then.
